On most of our charters, we head north from the Nyack marina along the waterfront, looking at the homes, on the way to the stunning Hook Mountain.
The first notable house is 1 Laveta Place, a certified "haunted house", a Queen Anne Victorian home right on the water.
This beautiful house has quite a history. It is officially haunted, as determined by New York's highest court in what is known as the "Ghostbusters ruling".
The 1991 ruling was made when this house was being sold and apparently the presence of poltergeists was not revealed to the buyer, who sued to get his deposit back.
